"oOH! NO! my phone is dead stuck AGAIN!" Worrying but can be fixed #fssf

A phone is said to 'freeze' when it suddenly goes numb and un-operative though device is on. Some signs include: - Un-responding keypads or touch-screens - Display light not offing when it goes dim - Inaccessible device functions - Network bars drop MAIN Causes: - Low RAM (Random Access Memory) space on device. - Virus or Bug attack on device Other Causes: * Frequent 'Low Battery' alerts * Network signal tripping from a cell site to another WHAT DO YOUR DEVICE FREEZES? 1. Take out Device BATTERY (for a couple of minutes) *Also take out micro(SD) card (if any), wait a while; 2. Put back Device BATTERY not the micro(SD) card 3. Power on your Device *Avoid accessing Device for any function during this process 4. When display screen shows clearly all processes is complete; - Access Device menu settings to disable 'DATA' access, whether WLAN or Mobile Data 5. Then go on to access Device 'RAM manager' and check its RAM status

A low RAM space status indication (e.g. 690MB/826MB or 720MB/826MB) is our lookout

(Further Explanation: Your numerator value indicts your RAM level whiles the de-numerator value represents total RAM space of your device. If a mobile device has its available RAM space within a 200MB range to total RAM space it can be said to be ‘low’ on RAM space) The closer your RAM numerator value gets to device's total RAM space the means lower the available RAM space for device to run on.

If this fits your scenario then take this advice: - DO NOT OPEN MORE THAN ONE (at most two) APPLICATIONS at a time when in use of your device. - CLOSE APPLICATIONS AFTER USE, NEVER LEAVE IT RUNNING IN BACKROUND - DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR DEVICE OPERATING SYSTEM (OS) SOFTWARE (when device system pops up an upgrade system software alert, PLEASE IGNORE!) - DOWNGRADE DEVICE OPERATING SYSTEM (OS) SOFTWARE (as a last resort) 6. Check network signal for activity i.e. Network bars availability and minimal fluctuations (without signal lose). 7. To insert micro(SD) card - Turn mobile device back off - When done insert micro(SD) card - Power device back on (wait till on processes complete before accessing device functions). 8. Run device antiVIRUS software for a thorough scan - After connect device back to the internet by allowing DATA ACCESS via WLAN or Mobile Data connection - Run device antiVIRUS software again (if asked to update software, PLEASE DO!) - After do a thorough system scan again 9. Observe Device processing speed when in use If satisfied then that’s a 'THUMBS UP!' 10. Go through ALL the processes again when need arises

TO KEEP A HEALTHY DEVICE PROCESSING SPEED: - UN-INSTALL all obsolete applications - Do frequent a "Clear Memory"; an available option with the RAM manager - CLOSE APPLICATIONS after use (by using application 'Close' option, when available) By so doing you decrease the number of applications the device runs in background, which in turn 'distresses' the RAM - When choosing applications to install, always choose its offline versions if available - PUT OFF "DATA" WHEN NOT IN USE, especially Overnight - WHENEVER POSSIBLE CHARGE DEVICE BATTERY WHEN LOW, NOT WHEN AT ITS CRITICAL LOWEST * When device is at a critically low battery status, system automatically revert a low resource mode. It is possible for such an overriding system mode to conflict with normal device operations when at its peak (with active applications allover Device). SO AVOID IT! Or VOLUNTARILY TURN OFF DEVICE. - UNSTABLE NETWORK CELL TRANSMISSION or a continuous device movement between varying Network Cell Sites can 'TRIP' device operations to a halt (especially for some highly sensitivity Devices) TO AVOID THIS; - Put device in 'AIRPLANE' mode when travelling - Do not forget to 'OFF' & 'ON' device or revert 'NETWORK' mode when you need to make use of either 'VOICE' or 'DATA' on Device
